Hyperliquid Distributes Hypurr NFTs Amid kHYPE Token Volatility
Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange, has airdropped 4,600 Hypurr NFTs on its HyperEVM layer to reward early adopters. The NFTs were automatically distributed to Genesis Event participants, the Hyper Foundation, and contributors, with no user action required. Each NFT reflects unique aspects of the Hyperliquid community culture.
The announcement comes as Hyperliquid's staked governance token, kHYPE, experienced a brief peg deviation before recovering. CEO Jeff Yan contributed 16 randomly distributed NFTs to the collection, which was minted directly on HyperEVM—a programmable LAYER launched in February 2025.
